Types of Lightning Strikes

Direct strike: is defined as a bolt of lightning entering and passing through your home on its way from the atmosphere to the ground. This type of lightning typically is the most damaging and usually has obvious evidence at point of impact.

Near miss: occurs when lightning strikes in an area near your home but does not hit directly. Normally your damage is less with this type of lightning strike.

Ground surge: occurs when lightning strikes causes a spike in electricity throughout an area. This is the most common lightning strikle type for obvious reasons.

Common complaints for lightning loss that I see are televisions, Tv with audio no video or video no audio, xbox not powering on, PlayStation not powering on, PS4 only blue light or white light no video, HDMI port failure, HDMI encoder chip or circuit failure, no power when you try turning on electronics, routers, desktop computers as well as laptops.
